Physics says that all forms of energy can be expressed in equivalent units. While this is true, some forms of energy are more \\$$$VALUABLE$$$ than others. I usually rate the value of heat lowest with mechanical higher and electricity the highest. In the process of generating any of the higher forms of energy some is wasted and eventually ends up as heat anyway.
