My Computer is Setup like this.

I have Mozilla Firefox and Microsoft Internet Explorer installed on my computer.

I also have Windows Media Player,  QuickTime Alternative, Real Alternative, and The included Media Player Classic that supports it.

QuickTime Alternative will allow you to play QuickTime files (.mov, .qt and other extensions) without having to install the official QuickTime Player. It also supports QuickTime content that is embedded in WebPages.
Real Alternative will allow you to play RealMedia files without having to install the official RealPlayer. You do need a media player that is capable of playing RealMedia files. The included Media Player Classic supports it. Supported are RealAudio (.ra .rpm), RealVideo (.rm .ram .rmvb), RealText (.rt), and ReadPix (.rp). Not fully supported are: Streaming smil files (.smi .smil) and Realmedia embedded in webpages.

I Use Mozilla Firefox to download files.

You need a "Video Recorder" or "Download Manager" Than can handle rtsp:// urls because some sites like Will let you join for free and let you watch some free movies but you can't save them with out the recorder.

I USE THIS ONE !   the FREE Net Transport 1.87 download manager then you will have the whole movie in a RealPlayer .rm format which will run ok in Real Player format.

If you use the FREE VIDEO RECORDER Real7ime Converter (R7C)  then you will have the whole movie in AVI format which will run ok in either Player. Then you need this Free Version of FxMPEG Writer  to convert AVI files to MPEG or MPG files.

The free Version of FxMPEG Writer
Convert video files created by digital cameras, HD TV capture devices and other digital video devices to MPEG-1, MPEG-4 or to any AVI
format for which you have a read/write codec installed on your system.

How To

First use use FireFox to go to the web pages on the top of FireFox click on "Tools" then Downloads and set it to ask you if you want to save it or run it.
Save the file in what ever directory you want.

Go to the directory you saved in and you will see a 1K file like "185.ram". Right click on the file and chose "Open With" use Notepad to open the file and you will see a URL something like this "rtsp://"

This is the address you need for the source file of the Recorder. copy it and past it in the recorder or Download Manager of your choice. I use Net Transport .

Double click on The Net Transport icon to run Net Transport Right Click on the Net Transport by the clock and chose "New Download". Past the address in the URL box ( i.e.  rtsp:// ) Then chose the directory you want to save it in and click "OK" let it SAVE AS "Default"

This Net Transport Download Manager will download ANY FILE FORMAT! All you need is its URL to past in!
Net Transport now supports HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, MMS (Microsoft Media Services) and RTSP (Real-Time Streaming Protocol) URL'S

Now you have the RM Movie file on the hard drive to do any thing you want with it.
